Victorian terraces and inner-north light
Fitzroy, Carlton, and Collingwood rooms are often tall, narrow, and grey for half the year. A prestige or floral paper on the chimney breast or the long living wall does more than a full-room hang in a space that already has cornice and picture rail. Melbourne winter light is softer than Sydney’s west glare — warm grounds hold, and metallics need a sample on the actual wall, not a north-facing phone photo.
